Highlighted Features
OBC DC/DC ATE is an integrated test platform for validating onboard charger of EV from a single source.
Modular Architecture with Flexible Device Integration
The OBC ATE system is built on a modular architecture that brings together power sources, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, and control software into one cohesive platform. The flexibility and serviceability achieved by the modular design allows quick and easy device integration or removal to match testing requirements of each project and meanwhile offers low-maintenance feature for straightforward and cost-effective troubleshooting.
Recipe-Based Standards Coverage with Custom Regulation Integration
The recipe-based standard options allow the user to execute testing items though a single click. ActionPower's OBC ATE, while engineered inherently to meet native Chinese GB/T regulations, supports as well standard-coverage expansion to fulfil global automotive and charging standards. The following regulations and standards are available at customized options so that manufacturers and Tier-1 suppliers can align testing precisely with their target market regulations.
- LV123 – Functional and safety testing framework for high-voltage components in electric vehicles
- VW 80300 / VW 80303 – Volkswagen-specific compliance standards for onboard chargers and power electronics
- ISO 21498-2 – Requirements for high-voltage electrical systems in road vehicles
Automated Testing Process and Report Generation
The OBC ATE integrates automatic CAN message decoding and oscilloscope waveform analysis, while also providing automated control of key charging interface signals such as CC, CP, insulation checks, and connector temperature resistance. Waveform recording devices are intelligently triggered, with precise anchoring of the target test interval, ensuring accurate capture of transient behaviours. Engineers can extract waveforms with a single click, zoom in for detailed inspection, and save snapshots for documentation.
Extreme Condition Emulation
The OBC ATE system provides full working-condition simulation, covering a broad spectrum of fault and performance scenarios without the need for external hardware emulators. Test coverage extends across 14 major categories, including current ripple assessment, vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) fault simulation, vehicle-to-load (V2L) fault simulation, DC-DC active and passive discharge, and insulation fault scenarios.User-Friendly Low-Coding Operation
Built-in testing cases and program in form of recipe and allows drag and drop features without any coding for building testing environment.Applications of OBC ATE
Automated testing system for onboard charger validation and testing
The OBC ATE system is used to verify the reliability and safety of on-board chargers under real-world operating and fault conditions. It is applied in R&D validation, compliance testing, and production line quality control, supporting global standards while enabling efficient, automated, and accurate testing.
